I called Friend-2's mother yesterday and got some bad news. Apparently the facility Friend-2 is in received a new physician, whom came in and examined Friend-2 and was not aware of the fact that Friend-2 can become quite volatile if provoked.

During the exam, Friend-2 attacked the physician and was quickly transferred to the pyschicatric wing of the hospital. They do not do physical therapy every day with Friend-2 now, and he is kept on some powerful medicine that keeps him drugged almost 24/7.

The family has petitioned that Friend-2 be removed from the psychiatric ward and released to them or another facility that would be closer to home so they can come visit each day and do his physical therapy and teach him how to control his anger.

I do not belive Friend-2 meant to hurt anyone, he simply became frustrated with a new physician and was not able to convey his frustration verbally so he resorted to physical reaction.

Please, please pray that Friend-2 is released to the family or another facility closer to home so they can continue physical therapy, and the family can teach him tools he can use to convey frustration without the use of violence. Thank you!

God Bless them all. Maybe he needs more help than his family can give though GL, if he has this problem with his anger and frustration he really needs experienced help. Traumatic brain injury can really change someone's personality. I pray that he gets the right treatment.

*sighs* this is very hard for them i am sure. inconsistent care doesn't help matters.

Extra prayers for F~2 and family. The doctor has no excuse for not reading the patient's chart and not knowing such pertinent information.

I agree with you Jolie,how could this new physician not know,or be told,what his situation was before he saw him,it's a tragic setback for F-2 and his family.

Will continued prayers for him and his family.

About this new physician i think he his the one who was the most frustated after that incident for have taking the decision to put him in psychiatric. He should have know in a proffessional way a patient with a traumatism brain can have some unextented reactions.
