a lil concern about the inactivity rules and the chip count being reduced to zero, this could adversley affect some
members if they are away from the board for any length of time due to maybe having to travel for work. They may only be able to login from work so if they are working temp contracts or become unemployed for any length of time and not able to login until they get back to work due to having no access at home. (unlikely I know but not every household has net access).
then theres those
members that are in the armed forces it maybe that when they are on tour they arent able to login as if they would at home. every branch of the armed services is different and if they are aboard a ship or sub for example they arent exactly going to be able to login.
Then youve also got those
members whos PC may end up with tech issues and they have to get it repaired or replaced and if they are on a limited income they might not be able to do this right away.
Taking someones
chips of them isnt really a major issue. I just think that there could be specific reasons outwith the
members control and if that is the case removing thier chip balance that they have actively participated on the board to get seems a lil harsh.
As for the accounts inactive over a year dont have an issue with them being deleted. could even be a suggestion that accounts inactive over 6 months have to have thier passwords re-activated/ reset not sure if thats possible but it would mean a temp suspension of those accounts prior to deletion if they werent re-activated before the year end
Anyway just my thoughts
edited to add kayla's thoughts echo my own i think
